"It has been so long...So very long...
I have hunted evil for no less then a thousand years. Yet, I remember well how this pain started... as though it were just yesterday...
When my blood was warm, I was a great warrior. Neither man nor beast could best me in mortal combat. Then, in my arrogance, I said one day even Death himself will bow before my swords...
He smiled and said, 'From a man of death from death himself, a wager. If you win, eternal life is yours. If I win, you soul is mine to do with as I wish.' Foolishly I accepted...
With sword and spell, we clashed toe to toe. The world trembled at our unleashed powers. I attacked with such fury and might, that even death himself was taken aback, and then, incredibly, felled.
I toppled the master and he granted my reward. I am cursed to live until all supernatural evil is destroyed. I hunt...and fight...and kill, until the end of my curse.
Only then will I be able to seek solitude and forever rest."
This was a lot of fun to work on. This is Chakan, a character created by Robert A. Kraus for his indie comic that became the star of one of my favorite Sega Genesis games.
A second collaboration long overdue, aka Izaak treated me to a personal color job on what would be his 100th inking, all done as a special gift to me. I noticed his impressive inking skills becoming grittier and darker, so on one of his recent pieces, I suggested he should do a Chakan related piece. Found one on dA and he inked it up fantastically, capturing that underground comic book scene and the character perfectly. On top of that, it fulfilled a want to do a Chakan related piece, so I thank him from the bottom of my heart for being such a wonderful dA friend all this time, offering me encouragement and advice, and sticking with me since our original TRON collaboration ([link]).

Dude, this game was SERIOUSLY amazing! I used to play it back when there was the Sega Channel, and I swear I only remember beating like two or three levels (the one with the fire-breathing grim reapers and the cliff level were my faves). Excellent job here!
